The Honest Truth
In a bid to reduce anti-social driving and the number of 17-24 year olds who are killed or sustain serious injury in road traffic collisions, we have joined other road safety partnerships, police forces and local authorities in launching ‘The Honest Truth’ in Essex.
The campaign is being rolled out to across the county, with the aim of getting safety messages to young drivers through Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs).
Following a series of presentations in Chelmsford, Basildon and Southend more than 100 ADIs across Essex have already joined the project.
The scheme is funded entirely by SERP and there is no cost of participation for ADIs who receive a campaign pack which includes eight learning cards and a booklet of scenarios. The learning cards, designed to be placed in a holder on the dashboard, act as a subconscious learning tool as well as a talking point.
